Two hours by road from Paris, situated just outside the town of Châteauroux, the airport is a multi-modal site served by:

  • Motorway links:
    A20 (linking London – Paris – Toulouse –Barcelona): direct access, exit N° 12,
    A10 (linking Paris – Bordeaux – Spain): 60 kilometres (40 miles) east of airport,
    A71 (linking Lyon – Switzerland – Italy): 60 kilometres (40 miles) west of airport.
  • Rail links:
    A dedicated rail link into the airport connects it with the French railways (SNCF) Paris – Toulouse line.
The airport is situated at the heart of four industrial parks totalling more than 600 hectares (1, 480 acres) of activities:

Malterie: 225 hectares (556 acres), industrial and logistical activities, located between the RN 151 road (Châteauroux – Bourges) and the airport grounds.

The southern ring road, RN 20E, allows a rapid connection with the RN20 road and on to the Paris – Toulouse motorway, while also providing access to other industrial zones around Châteauroux.

Grandéols: 130 hectares (320 acres), beside the A20 motorway, specialised in storage logistics and distribution.

ZIAP: on this, the airport's 40-hectare (99-acre) industrial zone situated to its west, office and warehouse floor space totals more than 50,000 m2 (164,000 feet2).

OZANS (HQE): the site's 500 hectares (1, 236 acres) are directly accessed by the A20 motorway and the Paris – Toulouse railway line.
